If you meet the eligibility requirements, we invite you to submit an application for the TEAMS Program. Selection is competitive, based on your application, your resume, and your statement of purpose. The PRIORITY DEADLINE is April 30th, 2008 for decisions by May 15th, 2008. The GENERAL APPLICATION deadline has been extended to August 31, 2008 for the 2008-2009 academic year. We do accept applications after the deadlines on a space-available basis. In the event that our program numbers are reached, we will place up to 20 Fellows on our waiting list.

We are pleased to offer our application process online to add to the convenience and security of the application process. You will receive a confirmation email once your application has been successfully received by our office.

To successfully complete the TEAMS/AmeriCorps application, you will need to have the following information accessible:

  • Personal and Academic information
  • Address and phone number of your school placement (work address)
  • A scanned, electronic copy of proof of US residency or citizenship
    To expedite the processing of your application, we ask that you upload
    your proof of US residency or citizenship. If you are unable to attach
    this documentation to your online application,YOU MUST SUBMIT THEM TO
    OUR OFFICE WITHIN 14 CALENDAR DAYS OF YOUR ONLINE APPLICATION
    SUBMISSION IN ORDER FOR YOUR APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETE AND CONSIDERED. We will accept faxed or mailed submissions. If you decide to use the US Postal Service, we suggest that you send it via CERTIFIED MAIL with CONFIRMATION to ensure that your documents reach our office.
  • TEAMS/AmeriCorps Statement of Purpose
    Please address the following in your one page statement: your interest in TEAMS/AmeriCorps, your experience working with diverse populations, and what you can contribute to the TEAMS/AmeriCorps Program.
  • Current resume
  • Job Description/Sponsor Verification Form                                     You will need to identify a mentor at your school placement. This person will be responsible for signing off on your documentation throughout the year.This form will arrive via email once you are accepted. You must click the link, download the form and fax/mail it into our office before the orientation seminar.   • STATEMENT OF INTEREST

TEAMS/AmeriCorps will send you confirmation e-mails when you start and submit your application. We will also send your decision notification and orientation information via e-mail. Please update your e-mail account to accept e-mails from jdlute@teamsusf.org  so that these communications are not rejected as "spam" or sorted to a junk mail folder.
